In this coding competition, students will use block programming to learn how to make games using the platform MakeCode. The competition is open to middle and high school students who are new to programming and interested in game development. Throughout the competition, students will learn the basics of programming concepts such as variables, loops, conditionals, and Booleans using block-based programming. They will also learn about game design concepts such as creating game characters, game mechanics, and user interface design.
At the end of these lessons, you will have all the skills you need to code your own game! Submit your game for a chance to win prizes and a 1st place trophy.
