Lesson 9: Your own story

Project Title: City Rescue Mission

Instructions:

  1. Story Creation: a. Brainstorm: Imagine a scenario where the city is facing a problem or emergency situation that requires a rescue. b. Story Development: Write a creative story that outlines the problem, introduces characters, and describes how the robot car plays a vital role in the rescue mission. c. Elements to Include: Make sure your story has a clear problem, a protagonist (such as a citizen or group of people), and a solution involving the robot car. d. Enhance Engagement: Use descriptive language, interesting dialogues, and captivating plot twists to engage the readers.
  2. Robot Car Programming: a. Define Objectives: Determine the tasks the robot car needs to perform in the story to aid in the rescue mission (e.g., driving to the scene, picking up supplies, guiding people to safety). b. Plan the Sequences: Break down the tasks into smaller steps and create a sequence of arrow instructions to program the robot car accordingly. c. Consider Conditions: Think about specific conditions in the story that might affect the robot car’s actions, such as obstacles or time limits. d. Test and Refine: Program the robot car and test its actions against the story’s requirements. Make adjustments as necessary to align with the desired rescue scenario.
  3. Presentation and Reflection: a. Storytelling: Present your story to your classmates or teachers, either through oral storytelling, written format, or a combination of both. b. Demonstration: Showcase the robot car’s programmed actions that correspond to the rescue mission described in the story. c. Reflection: Reflect on your project, discussing what you learned, challenges you encountered, and ideas for improving the story or programming in the future.

Remember to collaborate, be creative, and have fun with your project! Use your imagination to create an engaging story and program the robot car to drive and perform the necessary tasks for the rescue mission. Good luck, and enjoy your journey of storytelling and programming!
